Shalom!
Welcome to The Four Questions!
(Looking for the Four Questions of Pesach?)
This site is the personal web space of Joshua Tallent, covering a wide array of topics, including Judaism, technology and other geeky things, electronic book (eBook) editing and proofreading, and interesting information about me and my family.
As with most people, my life cannot really be nailed down into four distinct categories. So, while you should be able to peruse one section of the site and see everything you want to see, you will find that there is much more to be discovered in the other areas.
Site Information and Navigation:
I will post updates to this site as often as time allows. Whenever I add new content, I will post a note on my blog. So you can subscribe to my blog’s RSS feed if you are interested in finding out about these site additions/updates.
The menu on the top of each page will assist you in finding your way around the site. If you get lost just visit the Site Map (a link to it can be found in the footer of every page).
The links on this site are designed to be easy to use, yet unobtrusive. Those that will take you to another site are colored light blue, while those that will take you to pages within The Four Questions are colored red.
Many of the Hebrew and uncommon terms used within The Four Questions are defined in tooltips that appear when you hover over a word. The words with this functionality have a dashed underline, like this. If you click on the word, the tooltip will stay on the screen until you close it. You can also drag the tooltips around the page when they are open like that by clicking and dragging the caption at the top. Give it a try! Hover and click here. For a comprehensive glossary listing, check out the Glossary Index.
The Four Questions is encoded in UTF-8 (Unicode), and the Hebrew, Greek and other foreign languages used on this site use the Summer Institue of Linguistics' (SIL) Unicode fonts for proper display. For more info on this comprehensive character encoding and on SIL's fonts, check out the Unicode pages in my Professional section.
<---- Click on this button in any glossary pop-up to go to the word’s entry in the Glossary Index. Many thanks to Don Allen for creating this Javascript function.Links:

Joshua Tallent's excellent Kindle Formatting service saved me days of frustration. I'm an author with intermediate computer skills, and thought I'd be able to tackle the Kindle techno-challenge myself. Wrong. It was important to me to have my book looking as perfect in the Kindle edition as it does in print, and despite my best efforts I couldn't master the little details—the ones that make a difference. Joshua responded immediately to my Email cry for help, and (after receiving a clean copy of my manuscript in word.doc form) completed the work in an hour and a half. Talent comes in many forms, but if it's technical Kindle talent you're seeking, Joshua Tallent is the man. He has a black belt in Kindle Formatting.
